New York Fashion Week started on September 10, 2016, and calling it a rainy day is an understatement! Torrential downpour might be a better way to describe the crazy weather!

After leaving 102 degrees behind in the San Francisco Bay Area, and arriving in New York to a cool 80-something, the rain was welcomed. The only challenging part was trying to make my way from show to show in the rain!

The logistics for fashion week are downright insane. I spent half the day in a cab or Uber car. There were a few moments when I found myself walking a little bit too much in the rain; and high heels. I was on my feet from roughly 8:30am to 10pm. It was a long day and my heels were as comfortable as high heels can be. Thank goodness for the chunky heel trend!

Day one of New York Fashion Week was a fun one! I saw Nicholas K, Leanne Marshall, Marissa Webb, Malan Breton, and Yuma Yang. Justin Nunez went to Desigual and photographed the show for me since it was at the same time as Marissa Webb. His photos are amazing, I cannot wait to share them with you!

Since it was a long day, wearing culottes and chunky heels was a comfortable yet city-chic way to get through the day. I felt dressed up yet un-fussy. I never thought I would wear culottes, and here I am! Yikes! I actually like them, is something wrong with me?

Leanne Marshall sent her spring/summer 2016 collection down the New York Fashion Week runway on September 10, 2015 at The Art Beam in New York. The collection was ethereal; featuring dreamy blues, shadowy blacks, and mystic garden greens. Loved it!

The dreamy collection evoked a fairyland vibe; taking you into dewy spring gardens. The fabrications were flowing and soft; perfecting the dream-garden look of the collection. The finale dress was a beautiful way to capture Mother Nature.

I fell in love with the blue segment of Leanne Marshall’s spring 2016 collection. The blue and white ombre set on soft, flowing fabrics was incredible. I wish my photos turned out better so I could share their true beauty with you!

Cheers to seeing Leanne Marshall’s spring 2016 collection hit store shelves next season. I need something blue from her collection in my life.

Chanel Fortissimo nail polish for fall 2015

Pictured: Chanel Fortissimo nail polish for fall 2015.

Chanel Fortissimo nail polish is a beautiful navy blue hue from the Blue Rythm de Chanel beauty collection released for late fall 2015. This navy blue hue offers a rich color, and slight sparkles which are embedded into the nail polish. Love that!

Navy is a classic autumn hue. It acts as a neutral which can be used in place of chocolate brown or black. This makes Chanel Fortissimo nail polish a fabulous neutral tone which will blend well with fall’s color palette. Perfection.

Chanel Fortissimo is the darker of the two blue nail polish hues released by Chanel for late fall 2015. As part of the Blue Rythm de Chanel beauty collection, Chanel Fortissimo nail polish caters to the blue nail polish lover who needs the perfect shade for autumn.

I tested out Chanel Fortissimo nail polish with one base coat, two coats of color, and one top coat. The color went on smoothly, and streak free. The sparkles appeared during application of the second coat; when the true color shines through.

Chanel Fortissimo nail polish was long lasting. This could be caused by this fabulous top coat I have become addicted to these past couple of months. My top coat review can be found here.

Chanel Fortissimo nail  polish lasted a full eight days before needing to be changed. The only reason it needed changing was because my nails grew. Love that!

As a blue nail polish fan, I was thrilled to see Chanel Fortissimo. This nail polish is a beautiful, classic navy blue which offers both depth, and a slight sparkle. It is a fabulous navy blue hue to keep around as a nail polish wardrobe staple. I am looking forward to wearing Chanel Fortissimo nail polish often this fall; as well as into many seasons to come!
