Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Floral Drops EDT review

Dolce & Gabbana’s new flanker fragrance to Dolce is Dolce Floral Drops. This beautiful eau de toilette contains the same fragrance notes as Dolce, yet offers a softer, dewier fragrance experience than it’s predecessor. Love it!

Dolce Floral Drops is an eau de toilette, versus the original Dolce which offered an eau de parfum concentration. The EDT mixture of Dolce Floral Drops creates a softer, more floral fragrance experience than the EDP mixture from Dolce which offered more of a green floral experience.

The fragrance notes for Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Floral Drops EDT are:

Top notes: neroli leaf, papaya flower.
Middle notes: white amaryllis, white daffodil, white water lily.
Base notes: cashmeran, musk, sandalwood.

Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Floral Drops EDT starts off with a light green scent laced in florals. After about twenty minutes, the green scent settles down and a beautiful floral bouquet takes over. At the end of the day, the floral scent is laced with smooth musk and sandalwood.

The light floral fragrance experience of Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Floral Drops EDT lends itself well to daily wear. This fragrance is ideal for moderate and warm weather; making it a great scent to wear in the spring, summer, and fall seasons.

Since Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Floral Drops EDT is a lighter scent, it can easily be worn in tight quarters to places such as the office or theater. It is also easy to wear for casual or semi-formal occasions. Love that!

Dolce & Gabbana’s Dolce Floral Drops EDT is a beautiful scent which sets itself apart from it’s Mother fragrance Dolce. Although both fragrances offer a different fragrance experience, they will likely appeal to the same nose. I’m in love!

Georgine showed her spring/summer 2016 collection at New York Fashion Week on September 14, 2015. The collection was nothing short of amazing. Definitely one of my favorite shows of the week!

The color palette featured soft tones as well as eye-popping bright colors. The highlight of the show, which garnered “ooohs” and “aaaahs” from the crowd were the fur stoles.

Georgine’s fur stoles offered structured, geometric shaping which was contrasted by the soft fur. It is amazing how the fur was able to be shaped in balls!

In addition to fabulous clothing, a fur fanny pack, and jaw-dropping fur stoles, there was an abundance of celebrities sitting in the front row at Georgine’s show. Across from me sat the fabulous Kristin Taekman from Real Housewives of New York. Yes, I am a huge fan. Next to her sat Stassi Schroeder of Sur, and towards the photographers sat Nigel Barker (love him!), Patti Wilson, Laverne Cox, and Linda Fargo of Bergdorf Goodman.

If you are not already following Georgine on social media, be sure to follow along at @GeorgineStudio and wait with baited breath for this spring 2016 collection to hit store shelves!

New York Fashion Week outfit day two

This was my New York Fashion Week outfit on day two of the spring/summer 2016 shows. Laura snapped these pictures for me outside the Art Beam before the Zimmermann show.

These Valentino shoes were perfect during New York Fashion Week. The low heel and ankle strap kept the shoes perfectly in place while I stood in line for shows, stood outside waiting for Uber’s, and did quite a bit of walking. Loved them!

My favorite part of this outfit is this Vince dress! The dress was incredibly comfortable and did not wrinkle during the day. My day started at 10am, and went until 11pm, so there was a lot of sitting at shows, and sitting at meals that day! Thankfully, the dress did not wrinkle at all. Love that!

This Vince dress was also perfect for the weather. The temperatures in New York hovered in the high 70’s, with low humidity. The dress was perfect for the early fall weather; which means it will be ideal at home in the San Francisco Bay Area during the entire fall season. I cannot wait to wear it this fall! As fall progresses, it will look amazing paired with black boots, and a black leather jacket.

Each New York Fashion Week outfit I plan has been chosen for a combination of comfort, style, and the ability to be restyled back home. This dress was great because it packed well, offered comfort, stayed wrinkle-free, and can be worn so many different ways throughout the fall season. This was the first dress I purchased from Vince, and since I love it so much, I will have to check out more dresses and clothing options from Vince! I’m hooked!

In addition to Zimmerman on day two of New York Fashion Week, I also attended Betsey Johnson, Pamella Roland, and Chromat. Stay tuned for my coverage of these fabulous shows!
