The A Detacher fall 2016 collection went down the runway on Thursday, February 11, 2016 and gave everyone something cozy to covet for fall. While temperatures in New York dipped down into the 20’s, the models on the A Detacher fall 2016 runway donned cozy knit hats, warm sweaters, loose yet fitted jackets, and warm outfits which proved you can be layered up and still be a walking fashion plate. Love that!
A Detacher’s fall 2016 color palette included warm shades of brown, pops of bright pink, occasional red accents, neutrals, and enticing dark green. The patterns were artistic, the sleeves were voluminous, and the belts were drool-worthy. I cannot imagine anyone doing better knits for fall than A Detacher. They were groundbreaking!

When I spotted this lace trench coat at Express, I knew I had to have it! It is perfect to wear now, and into the spring season. Since I love this lace trench coat so much, I decided to wear it on day one of New York Fashion Week.
Since the weather in New York for fashion week was in the 20’s, I needed to style this spring trench coat for cold, winter temperatures. Since it is a long sleeve, trench coat, it was easy to layer over a sweater, and thick, warm leggings. I love how this lace trench coat can transition from winter into spring! It will look so cute in the spring over a skirt, or a black dress. It would also look amazing over a bright, solid color dress!
I started the day off by meeting my friend Rita at Samba Sushi for lunch. It is a Peruvian/Japanese fusion restaurant. I never thought those two flavors could mix; but they do! The food was fabulous. If you are in the SoHo area of New York, definitely check it out! You will love it!
Day one of New York Fashion Week was cold, but very exciting! I started the day off by attending one of my favorite shows; Marissa Webb. Her show was fabulous. I loved the texture, the fabrics, the coats, and especially the booties! Oh the booties are number one on my fall 2016 wish list!
After Marissa Webb, I attended A Detacher. This was a cutting edge collection with cozy knits, warm hats, and butterfly sleeves! I loved the collection, Watch for my write-up on the blog soon!
I finished out the day with Marcel Ostertag. I had a second row seat, but ended up getting bumped up to the front row! It was an amazing view. I love his coats, and how he works with sequins. His pieces have so much movement and dimension. Watch for my write-up on his collection soon too!
If you are looking for a great piece to take you from winter into spring, definitely check out this lace trench coat. It is perfect to wear now; and into the spring season!
Marissa Webb showed her fall 2016 collection at the Skylight Clarkson on February 11, 2016 during New York Fashion Week. As always, her collection was amazing.
One of the best pieces on the runway were Marisaa Webb’s booties! The booties were innovative; featuring an inside layer peeking out from the outside layer of the booties. There was a small lace-up detail on the back of the booties, and the heels were thin, and fabulous. Love them! There was also an equally fabulous pair of knee high boots on the Marissa Webb fall 2016 runway. Look for both of these styles to fly off store shelves!
Marissa Webb used texture, patterns, and discreet florals throughout her collection. The main color story included navy, mustard, light grey, rose, and pumpkin. When paired with light grey, the traditional autumn color palette took on a fashion-forward vibe; making fall look new again.
Every season Marissa Webb reinvents the wheel; and gives the fashion world a fresh outlook on how to dress. I plan on getting my hands on a pair of booties, and the navy/white check coat pictured above. Which pieces are you coveting from the Marissa Webb fall 2016 runway collection?
