Handbags are getting softer, and even more anonymous than last year! As we move into 2025, the IT bag is unrecognizable and will force people to ask you what you are carrying. Love this!

Many brands and designers have been exposed for over-charging for their handbags. This has created an even bigger backlash towards logos and handbag styles which are recognizable. Even if a bag does not have a logo, but is easily named by one glance, it is over and out. This has created a vacuum which is elevating less expensive handbags, as well as everyday brands and emerging designers to the forefront of the IT bag world.

The biggest trends in handbags are silhouettes, quality of materials, and craftsmanship. Look for strong bags which can withstand your lifestyle. Also look for strong stitches and flawless craftsmanship. Surprisingly, you can find these bags for under $1000, under $500, and even under $200! All of the bags featured above are under $1000. Love that!

So, as you find your anonymous handbag for the winter season, as well as the entirety of 2025, there are a few silhouettes you will want to focus on.

Moon Shaped Bags: The moon shaped bag is still going strong in 2025. A derivative of the hobo handbag, the moon shaped bag can also double as a mini shoulder bag; another emerging trend in the new year.

Slouchy Bucket Bags: This trend is staying put. If you already have one, fabulous! If not, invest in one for the new year. It is a great “everything” bag as well as an alternative to the tote. The ones featured above are under $200. Love!

Suede: This soft fabrication is continuing well into 2025. Since soft is the fabric type of the moment, suede fits right in. Love that!

Belted Satchels: Satchels and east/west totes are getting belted. You will be hard-pressed to not see this style in stores and on the street. My favorite is the one featured above, but they are everywhere. This style can be structured or slouchy, depending on your mood.

Small Shoulder Bags: The mini shoulder bags, and baguettes, of the early 2000’s are back. If you have a vintage one, perfect! Pull it out of storage and rock it this year. If not, there are plenty in stores to choose from. I happen to love this one.

Boxy Bags: Small, boxy totes are a great alternative to regular totes, buckets, and satchels. They have a casual vibe and anonymous look. My next handbag will be this one!

There you have it! The anonymous handbag styles to rock on the streets this winter 2025 season, as well as throughout 2025. Love that!

Have a fabulous day, and thanks for stopping by!

BAF Weekly IT List

BAF Weekly IT List from top left: sequin sweater / Hermes nail polish / Chanel nail polish / pink scarf / pink earrings / suede and leather bucket bag / pewter boots (on sale!) / brown boxy bag / black bucket bag /

The gifts are wrapped and neatly placed under the tree, now is the time to shop for me! Meaning you!

The winter season is here, and the anonymous handbag is stronger than ever. In addition, shades of brown are reigning supreme. Love!

As we move into the new year, and shop the sales, let’s stay focused on what to invest in for 2025. Look for high quality, unrecognizable handbags. Neutral hues; particularly shades of brown. Cozy sweaters, and boots we can walk for miles in. Love that!

Have a fabulous holiday season and stay tuned for more winter coverage as well as end of year wrap ups!

SFO Museum Rosie the Riveter

The SFO Museum always has amazing exhibitions within the San Francisco International Airport (SFO). The current exhibit in terminal 1 is Rosie the Riveter, and it is a must see!

As you know, women took over the jobs previously held by men during World War II. This not only helped our country during the war effort, it proved that women can do the same work as men. Love that!

This exhibit shows the work Rosie the Riveter accomplished during the war as well as what they wore and artifacts from the era. It is a nice history lesson to take in while waiting for your flight in terminal 1.

So, if you are flying from terminal 1 anytime soon, check it out! Or, if you are going through a different terminal, arrive at the airport early so you can walk over to terminal 1 and enjoy this important exhibit.

In addition to Rosie the Riveter, there are several other exhibits which are equally enjoyable throughout SFO. Check out SFOMuseum.org and plan your next visit!

Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your holiday travels!
