Chanel Roubachka nail polish is a deep, dark purple hue from Chanel’s new longwear nail polish formula collection. This new for spring 2016 color offers a dark, vampy color which is mysterious, and alluring. I am in love!

If you have not tried Chanel’s new nail polish formula yet, you must try it! You can find the entire collection online here. This nail polish DOES. NOT. CHIP! I cannot even begin to describe to you how amazing this is! My nails grow, and that is the only time I see my actual nail. The polish stays put; even after cleaning the house, washing dishes, and working out. It is truly magical!

For spring 2016, Chanel Roubachka nail polish is a new color from the longwear nail polish collection. This color is a classic, vampy purple which could be worn during any season of the year. I would love to wear this color in the fall months. I feel like it works perfectly with the upcoming color palette for autumn we just saw on the runways. It is true perfection!

I tested out Chanel Roubachka nail polish with one base coat, two coats of color, and one top coat. There were zero chips after eight days! I cleaned my house, without gloves, in order to test the strength of Chanel’s new nail polish formula. It withstood scrubbing the kitchen, four bathrooms, mopping the floor, picking up toys, picking up legos (you know how tedious this can be), and dusting. I also worked out with weights at the gym, which can chip nail polish. Nope! No chips! I had to pinch myself to make sure I was not dreaming. Chanel Roubachka nail polish, and Chanel’s new formula in general, is amazing.

There are fifteen new colors from Chanel’s new longwear nail polish collection. The collection includes several favorite hues, as well as new colors for the spring season. I never thought Chanel could improve upon their formula, but they did! Wow!

If you see a color from Chanel’s new nail polish collection you would like me to test out, let me know in the comments below. I cannot wait to see more colors added to the collection in this new longwear formula. It is so fabulous!

Pink bomber jacket for spring and Mansur Gavriel shoes

The weather in the spring can fluctuate from forty degrees, up to the high seventies. This means we all need a fabulous, lightweight jacket for the cooler parts of spring! I always keep a denim jacket on hand for spring, but one jacket can get boring fast. I decided to jump on the bomber jacket bandwagon, and invest in one for the spring season. (sometimes they are referred to as a stadium jacket)

So. . .raise your hand if you remember bomber jackets in the 1980s! My hand is up! Did I just date myself? haha, oh well. I was in grade school in the 1980s, and I had a shiny, green, bomber jacket. Everyone had one back then, they were the “IT” jacket to own; much cooler than those cotton twill things (members only jackets-yikes!) the nerd boys used to wear!

My Mother always told me to never re-wear a trend from your childhood, but weren’t fashion rules meant to be broken? Of course! So, I sprung for this cute little bomber jacket in pale pink. If I am going to jump on a trend, why not in the color of the year?!

This bomber jacket is quite cozy; it is perfect for wearing over lightweight tops. Here in the San Francisco Bay Area, we need to be able to peel off our layers. The fog will bring in fifty degree weather in the morning, then when it burns off, the temperatures can rise ten, or twenty degrees in one hour. So having a light top underneath a jacket is key. The bomber jacket trend for spring is perfect for our weather! Love that!

I also need to give a shout-out to these Mansur Gavriel mules also known as slides. Did you know Mansur Gavriel is making shoes now? Love them! These slides are super comfy; and perfect for the spring, and summer months. I bought them in classic black so that I can reach for them often. As you know, I am a Mansur Gavriel superfan; so these shoes not only gleam fabulous style, they are extremely well made! Of course price-wise, they are a great value. I don’t know how Mansur Gavriel makes such high quality handbags, and shoes, without the sky-high price tag to go with it! More reason to love Mansur Gavriel slides or mules, and their collection in general.

This outfit will be a go-to for the spring season. I mixed a 1970s inspired denim skirt, with a 1980s inspired bomber jacket, and mid-1990s inspired slides. Why not mix decades? It’s more fun to mix it up. Right?

What do you think of Mansur Gavriel’s new shoe collection? Are you planning to rock the bomber jacket trend? Leave a comment and let me know!

Chloe Jodie camera bag review

Chloe Jodie camera bag in navy blue suede for spring 2016

The Chloe Jodie handbag is the ultra cute, and casual, camera style bag first revealed on the spring 2016 Chloe runway. This cute little bag offers style, function, and sassy, casual style. Love it!

Denim, athleisure, and military are all hot casual trends for the spring season. With a trend towards casual attire, comes the need for a trend towards casual handbags. The Chloe Jodie meets that need with it’s camera styling, chain detail, small tassel, and overall look. It is the perfect handbag to grab-and-go on a daily basis.

Although small in stature, the Chloe Jodie is big on style. This handbag offers one main, large interior compartment which has a slim pocket on the back. The exterior offers three pockets; one of which is covered by the flap closure in the front, and two on the sides which have their own flap closures. These pockets are handy for storing small items you may want to grab without fiddling with the main compartment. The bag is very user-friendly!

I purchased the suede Chloe Jodie for spring since I don’t really own a full suede bag. I have a couple of bags with suede on them, but the main body of those bags is smooth leather. The Chloe Jodie is full suede; I love the soft feel, and casual look, this gives the handbag.

The Chloe Jodie looks great with denim, summer shorts, casual skirts, flared pants, wrap dresses, casual mini skirts, casual maxi skirts, and athleisure ensembles. I love how this handbag elevates an otherwise casual, everyday look into something fabulous. It is perfect for turning jeans, a tee shirt, and flip flops into something special. It really is perfect for hot summer days; and weekends in general.

The interior capacity is small. The Chloe Jodie can hold a wallet, lipstick, keys, and iPhone with a little bit of room to spare. I can put my glasses in the bag, as long as they are not in their case. The case will not fit. The front pocket is perfect for receipts, or any folded paper I want to bring with me, or keep. I haven’t used the side pockets, but they seem perfect for holding gum, chapstick, or any small items I do not want getting lost inside the main compartment of the bag. The slim pocket can be used for the iPhone, or for a passport, folded paper etc.

This is a great bag for casual days when I don’t need to carry a lot of things with me. It has become my casual go-to bag!

The strap on the Chloe Jodie offers a split between chain and leather. The leather, or in my case suede, portion of the strap is on top; flanked by a chain strap on the sides. This is really comfortable to wear and the strap stays put on my shoulder without sliding off. Love that!

As far as weight goes, the Chloe Jodie is lightweight when empty, so when I add items into the purse, it is still a comfortable weight, and feels fairly light. It is a lighter bag than the Faye. I would compare it’s weight to the Drew.

The Chloe Jodie is a new handbag style from Chloe for the spring 2016 season. This beautiful, casual handbag is showing longevity, and will be a part of Chloe’s ongoing collection. It is the ideal casual handbag; especially with the move towards casual trends for fall such as altheleisure, moto, western, and the continuing 1970s influence.

I am looking forward to wearing my Chloe  Jodie camera bag for many seasons to come! I rate the Chloe Jodie handbag five out of five stars!
