Rosie the Riveter National Historic State Park

Rosie the Riveter is an important part of our national history. Women came out of the homes during World War II to help build much-needed supplies for the war effort. This gave both women and minorities the opportunity to hold important jobs normally not open to them during peace-time.

There were a few different locations throughout the United States where Rosie the Riveter worked. One of those locations is right here in the San Francisco Bay Area in Berkeley. The Ford plant was turned into a factory for the war, and local women were able to obtain jobs there in order to help the war effort. It was an amazing operation which built important equipment for the war while giving people jobs normally not available to them. It’s incredible how efficient they were. The whole story makes me wish we still had the Ford factory in Berkeley!

The museum is extremely well done with excellent exhibits and informative movies. In addition, you can visit the various locations where everything was built and assembled throughout the area. Not only is it interesting and informative, it is in a beautiful location with views of San Francisco. Love that!

Whether you are local to the Bay Area or visiting, I highly recommend checking out our Rosie the Riveter museum. You can learn more at RosieTheRiveter.org.

Belted totes and belted bucket bags for spring 2025

Belted totes and belted bucket bags from top left: brown tote / dark green tote / black tote / brown bucket bag / caramel tote bag / chocolate brown east/west tote /

The belted tote is in! Not only are belted totes and belted bucket bags timeless, they are hot on the streets this spring season. Love this!

Almost every designer and brand are showing a version of a belted bag in their spring collections. In fact, it goes beyond just spring. We will be seeing belted bags for the remainder of 2025 as well as into next year. So, if you love this office-ready style, invest!

I already own a small belted tote, which is a classic handbag style. That being said, I definitely want to add a larger belted tote as well as a belted bucket bag to my collection. Since neutrals are in, and are timeless, I will most likely invest in a neutral hue. I am eyeing the black, belted tote pictured above and this belted bucket bag. Love!

Belted totes and belted bucket bags around the web:

Although often seen as a structured silhouette, belted totes and belted bucket bags can be slouchy, suede, canvas, soft, and also traditional stiff leather. You can choose the fabrication which fits your own personal style and look fabulous. Love this!

Which style is more you? The belted tote? The belted bucket? Both like me?

Spring nail polish in fall 2025 colors

Spring nail polish from top left: pink nail polish / pastel orange nail polish / chocolate brown nail polish / brown nail polish /

By now, you might have noticed the color trends from the fall 2025 NYFW runways. A few of those autumn hues are relevant now, in the spring season. This means the fabulous nail polish we have invested in for the spring season also plays well with the fall color palette. Love that!

Pale pink is hot right now, and it is also going to continue to be hot throughout the fall 2025 and winter 2026 seasons. Love! In addition, the color of 2025, Mocha Mousse, is also proving to be unstoppable as the fall 2025 color palette features several shades of mocha. So, start rocking those mocha inspired nails!

You might be wondering why I included this pale orange hue from Chanel’s spring nail polish collection. Well, it is only a few shades lighter than the one orange family color included in the fall 2025 color palette from NYFW. So, this makes the spring version perfect to wear now and into the fall season. It might prove to be a good transitional nail polish from summer into fall. Love that!

So, if you haven’t decided which spring nail polish color to invest in for the warm weather season, here are a few ideas to get you through the year!

Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned for more nail polish swatches and reviews throughout the year!
