One of my favorite bath and body scents is coconut. I loooooove how it smells! The scent of coconut is refreshing, and uplifting; especially after a day in the sun! Although I am reviewing Renpure’s line of coconut hair care products in the cold, late fall months, the coconut scent takes me away from the cold, and transports me to an island paradise on a warm summer day. Ahhhhh.

When it comes to hair care, I always look for two things; a nice scent, and a product which will add moisture to my dry hair. I always blow dry my hair, and I spend time outside in the sun, so my hair takes a beating. In order to keep my hair from becoming brittle, I need to use a strong conditioner, and a gentle shampoo.

Renpure’s Coconut hair care products are so nice to use! I love the coconut scent, and the shampoo moisturizes my hair. Renpure Coconut Milk nourishing conditioner is great with my hair. It leaves my hair nourished without adding weight like some heavy conditioners.

The Coconut Whipped Creme leave-in conditioner also works nicely. Since I don’t use a leave-in conditioner, I gave it to my daughter who recently turned thirteen. She has dry hair, and she is always seeking a conditioner which will give her some nourishment. The leave-in conditioner works great on her hair. She can blow dry her hair, or let it dry naturally, and it is not weighed down or greasy. This is a great leave-in conditioner!

Now, let’s chat about the Renpure Coconut Water replenishing treatment mist. My hair can be dull since it is it’s natural color, and not treated. Renpure’s Coconut Water replenishing treatment mist does wonders for adding some shine to my hair! It is an easy way to add shine, as well as protect my hair while I flat iron or blow dry it. I have used it while my hair was dry, or wet, with equally good results. Love that!

Earlier in the month, we took a mini family vacation to the Lake Tahoe area. It was our first foray of the season into winter temperatures which felt crisp, cool, and fun! Despite the lack of snow to play in, we did find some ways to enjoy the outdoors, sans powder.

We decided to have a fun outside play day! Despite the 40 degree temps, we spent time at King’s Beach on Lake Tahoe. We took a walk along the beach, enjoyed the view from the pier, and then found some rocks to play on. A pile of rocks, plus my kids, equaled an hour of fun! My husband and I even joined in and climbed the rocks. It is amazing how a few boulders can create a fun time.

We took these pictures throughout the day as we enjoyed King’s Beach, followed by lunch at Jake’s on the Beach. After lunch we rested at the cabin and then headed to downtown Truckee where we walked around. The kids found an outdoor, giant chess set where my son and middle daughter engaged in a fierce game of chess. When my son’s Queen was compromised, the game got really tense and we had to speed the kids up! You know how siblings can get in times of competition! Yikes! Sooooo. . .on that note, we headed over to Jax Truckee Diner where I enjoyed lobster and crab macaroni and cheese (oh yes, it was fabulous and worth every calorie!). All of us enjoyed our food, it was a fun night!

This warm and cozy, faux fur jacket was perfect throughout the day. It was really comfortable to wear, and kept me warm. It was also easy to climb rocks in! Imagine that! haha If you are looking for a fun and cozy jacket this winter season, definitely check it out, on sale, online here.

Essie Ready to Boa nail polish for the winter

Essie Ready to Boa nail polish is the prettiest burgundy hue I have ever seen! There is a slight sparkle in the polish, and the color is not too light, and not too dark; it is pure perfection! I need to fling a boa over my shoulder, and I need to display the “Ole!” emoticon to fully convey how fabulous this color is!

I tend to shy away from red nail polish colors, but this burgundy hue is so pretty; I want to wear it forever! It is so festive and perfect for the holiday season; plus it is a classic, wintry color which is great for the entire cold weather season. Love!

Ready to Boa by Essie is from Essie’s winter collection which consists of six colors perfect for the season. Essie Ready to Boa nail polish is a great, classic hue which can be worn right now, as well as next year during the fall and winter seasons. It is a great nail polish wardrobe staple. Love that!

For testing purposes, I wore Essie Ready to Boa nail polish with one base coat, and two coats of color. I did not use a top coat. The polish lasted a full week with one chip on my right hand; I think the chip happened when I was cleaning the kitchen without wearing my gloves. It was a small chip, so it didn’t bother me.

Essie Ready to Boa is a beautiful burgundy nail polish. You can find it online here. If you have a nail polish fan on your holiday shopping list, check out this cute box set of Essie’s winter collection online here.
