Estee Lauder skin care is something I grew up with. As a small child, I have fond memories of my Mother bringing me to the Estee Lauder counter to purchase cosmetics and skin care. It was always her favorite beauty brand; and decades later, it still is! When I opened the box containing the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair collection, she gasped and asked if she could have it. Sorry Mom, this collection is for me!

I am an extremely busy Mother of three energetic, and involved children. My kids play music, sports and are active in scouting. In addition to managing my children’s schedules and activities, I have my own work and activities to manage. It can be a bit much. The activities and overall stress I face each day take a huge toll on my skin. We really do wear our stress on our faces. When Estee Lauder sent me their fabulous Advanced Night Repair skin care system, I was extremely thrilled. This is exactly what my stressed-out face needs!

There are several amazing products in the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair skin care collection. Each product works in it’s own special way to cleanse, and repair skin while we sleep. The Advanced Night Micro Cleansing Foam is ideal to use on a nightly basis to wash off makeup, and all the pollution, and dirt our skin captures during the day. I love how soft and clean my skin is after using it.

The Estee Lauder Advanced Night Micro-Cleansing Balm is also a fabulous way to clean skin at night. I have been using it when I wear foundation, or feel like I need a little extra cleansing that night. Both cleansers are perfect for everyday use, the difference I noticed was in the consistency. I tend to prefer a foam cleanser, which is why I have found myself reaching for the foam nightly, but if you prefer a silkier consistency in your cleanser, then the balm will be your go-to nighttime cleanser from the collection.

After cleaning my skin, I have been using the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair eye and the Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II on my skin nightly. These two products have really made a difference in brightening up my skin and overall complexion. Love!

When it comes to masks, I don’t have a lot of time, so I have used the masks once every other week. They do a fabulous job of refining my skin and smoothing it out.  I have been using the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Intense Recovery Ampoules twice per week, and have enjoyed excellent results.

I have been using the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair skin care system for one month now, and I have noticed a huge difference in my overall skin tone. My skin is cleaner, more clear, softer, and fresher. The stress I feel is no longer showing in my skin. Love that!

The Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair skin care system is absolutely amazing! I highly recommend integrating these products into your night skin care routine. You can find the collection online here.

Bridge & Boro denim at New York Fashion Week

Wearing: ivory tassel earrings / Chanel spring lipstick / pink and silver jacket (under $200!) / denim short c/o Bridge & Boro / Alexander McQueen scarf / black tee (old, also love this one) / jeans c/o Bridge & Boro / Gucci belt / Givenchy handbag / Kendra Scott ring / Chanel spring nail polish / black socks / silver velcro street sneakers

On day three of New York Fashion Week, I went for a NY street style look. So many NYFW attendees wear denim; it is fun to see how they make it fabulous! I decided it was my turn to wear denim, and amp up my casual style into something street style worthy. I could not have done it without these fabulous denim pieces from New York denim brand Bridge & Boro.

Bridge & Boro makes the most fabulous denim pieces! They have limited edition pieces made from scarce denim fabric, as well as standard pieces in their collection with a timeless quality. The company is family owned and run; and the collection is made in New York!

It is extremely difficult to fit my body into jeans. I have always had a waist size much smaller than my hips and thighs. This is a problem many women have; let’s face it, we are hourglass for a reason! The majority of denim companies out there make their jeans for men, and then size them down for women without re-working them to actually fit a woman’s body. Bridge & Boro just fits. The jeans are made for women. The result is a flattering fit which will look amazing on most women. Love that!

In addition to a women’s denim collection, Bridge & Boro offers denim for men; which is just as fabulous as the women’s collection. Love! I definitely need to get a pair for my hubby!

Denim on denim is a huge trend this year. Although it has been going strong for the past couple of years, denim is bigger than life for spring 2017. Designers are showing it on everything from clothing to accessories. This is the perfect season to rock the denim on denim trend; and invest in some fabulous denim pieces!  For your perfect denim this spring, check out Bridge & Boro at bridgenboro.com.

It was fun wearing this outfit on day three of fashion week. I was snapped by several street style photographers outside the show. Here is a fun photo by fabulous street style photographer Denton Taylor:

Denton Taylor snapped this picture outside The Skylight Clarkson when I was on my way to my first show of the day; Asia Fashion Collection by Vantan. In addition to Asia Fashion Collection, on day three I went to Taoray Wang, Romeo Hunte, Yuna Yang, CG by Chris Gelinas, A Detacher, Georgine, and Francesca Liberatore. In addition to shows, I attended a fun blogger brunch hosted by Twiirly and Amour Vert. You can read about it here.

I am looking forward to wearing this denim on denim look by Bridge & Boro often this upcoming spring season; minus the jacket and scarf. It will look cute with slides, or high heel sandals. The pieces will also look fabulous worn with other items from my closet. They are so versatile and fabulous! Love!

I am so excited to be writing this! There is a fun, new way to interact with me and pick my brain for beauty, style, fashion, blogging, and work-life-balance information and advice! I have signed up to work with a hot new App named Twiirly. This fabulous fashion app is the perfect way to connect with me, as well as all your favorite bloggers, for a private one-on-one session. My sessions will be available during the week, as well as on the weekends. If you want to book a session with me, and don’t see an opening convenient for you, feel free to DM me through Instagram or send me an email. I am happy to open a session which is convenient for you!

On Twiirly, I will be available to help you with a variety of topics. Let’s chat about skin care, beauty products, styling for events or everyday life, ways to save money while shopping, saving up for a designer piece, blogging, starting a blogging business,  juggling homeschooling and blogging or work, juggling three kids and a blog, or anything you want to ask me!

Work-life-balance is huge as a Mother. As a mother of a daughter with special needs whom I homeschool, juggling my blog, my children’s schedules, volunteer work and more is a huge undertaking. I have learned so much from my experience, I am happy to share it with you and hopefully my information and advice will help you juggle your job, blog, family life, and more!

If you are wondering what makes me qualified to give out advice and information on beauty, fashion, style, work-life-balance, blogging, homeschooling, and starting a business, I will give you the run-down. I have a BA in English from the University of San Francisco followed by an MBA from Dominican University in San Rafael. I am born and bred Bay Area. Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area has exposed me to hard working entrepreneurs; many of which are in my family history. My work history follows.

I started my career in retail, as many fashion fans do. I worked for The Limited Corp for seven years in both sales and management. This is where I learned about fashion and style. After The Limited, I worked for Ann Taylor for two years in management where I was responsible for visual merchandising at stores throughout the Bay Area. I created and executed the displays which invited shoppers to see how to style our clothing and accessories. I also worked as a personal shopper/stylist for local celebrities and politicians.

After retail, and earning my MBA, I did the Bay Area thing and worked in tech as a Recruiter, Sales Manager, and HR Manager. Eventually, I ended up at Sprint where I worked in the Human Resources Dept. When I had my first baby, I left the corporate world to raise my children. After having three kids, I was ready to go back to work! I went back as a VP of Sales for a small start-up, but it was too demanding of a job with three small children under the age of five at home. I decided it was time to start my own thing! I founded Bay Area Fashionista as a blog which I was planning to turn into a local fashion magazine. Well, the website got me into freelance fashion journalism where I reported on trends and runways; specifically handbags for print and online publications throughout the country. My blog grew, and I noticed the magazine business was not something to enter into at the moment, so I gave up my freelance work, and started to concentrate on growing Bay Area Fashionista as a personal blog: and voila! I am here today!

As for work-life-balance, I started to homeschool  my special needs daughter three years ago. She has ADHD, learning disabilities, and a 170+ IQ. This makes for a very special child who is not built for the regular school system. We homeschool through an online school where she interacts with a credentialed teacher and I administer or teach the majority of her school work to her. We turn in her schoolwork once a week for grading to her teacher. She is earning straight A’s and is ahead of her grade level in math. I am so proud of her! Juggling her schooling, having her home all the time, my blog, and my other two children’s schedules, is quite a challenge. I have learned a lot about making it all work. If you are trying to juggle children, work, and more, let’s chat about it on Twiirly!

There are a lot of fabulous bloggers on Twiirly, including a large number from the San Francisco Bay Area! Love! So be sure to download the app from the app store and Twiirly with me! I am excited to chat with you, and I know you will enjoy connecting with the other bloggers too. Twiirly on!
