One of the continuing trends from last year is the menswear inspired trend. Blazers were huge during the fall 2017 season, and they have proven to be a huge trend again this fall 2018 season. If you didn’t jump on the menswear inspired blazer trend last year, this might be a good time to jump right in! Blazers are a great, lightweight option for outerwear this season!

Blazers can be worn with everything from jeans, to dressy trousers. They are also a great topper for a little black dress! The fun thing about menswear inspired blazers is that if you buy one as part of a suit, then you have a skirt or pair of pants you can mix and match into your wardrobe too. Love that!

So, have you noticed an uptick in “Clueless” fashion references online lately? Well, I almost choked on my tea when I spotted this yellow plaid blazer for fall 2018. It screams “Clueless” and it also has a matching mini skirt and pants! Mmmmm, where did the inspiration for that outfit come from? Thought to ponder . . .

Have you ever asked yourself, what is athleisure? It’s a new word that has been kicked around now for the past several years. Athleisure is a style of dressing which addresses the modern dilemma of needing to look appropriate when running from the gym, to the supermarket, to a meeting at a coffee shop, and then off to your child’s school to start taxiing he or she around for activities.

Athleisure has become a huge part of my personal style over the past ten years. I have three kids, a job, and I am active in the community. Between my work, volunteer work, and family, it’s hard to find time to change my outfit multiple times per day; plus, I like to be comfortable. I’m so thankful for adidas clothing and accessories. They are so comfortable, and always appropriate for my busy lifestyle!

It’s amazing how day-to-day style has evolved in the new millennium. When people wore casual clothing before the new millennium, they still looked fairly dressed up by today’s standards. A casual look on a busy day, such as the ones I live, would have included jeans, high heel boots, a statement top, and a structured jacket. While this sounds like a cute, casual look, it’s not that comfortable, and you can’t wear it to the gym! That type of outfit requires extra time in your day to change for a workout, and the structured jacket leaves little in the way of comfort when you’re extremely busy. I am so thankful athleisure has become more than a trend; it’s a classic style of dressing in the modern world. Love that!

Adidas has the best clothing and accessories for a comfortable and chic athleisure look. I love their collection of leggings, track pants, and active pants. They have a variety of tops to choose from; so, you can look gym-serious, or urban casual-it’s your choice! Of course, adidas also has a variety of jackets and sweatshirts to keep you cozy on chilly days. They are so soft and extremely high quality; so, you can wash and wear them often without worrying about adidas clothing wearing out. For my busy lifestyle, that is a must!

As much fun as animal prints, stripes, and asymmetrical lines are for the fall season, there are some days when we just want to blend into the crowd-without wearing a basic v-neck tee and jeans. On those days, this comfortable knit top is my jam!

These jeans are soft, and so is this top, that makes this outfit my comfortable go-to look when I to wear something casual yet put together. I feel like this top has a dressy-casual look even thought the fabric is very casual and comfy. Love that! It would also look really cute with a skirt and high heels.
