Lemon shrimp angel hair pasta recipe

lemon shrimp angel hair pasta recipe

*So, I am not very good at indoor photography. My apologies for the poor quality photo, the food does look better in real life and it is quite delicious! This is a plate full of my own lemon shrimp with angel hair pasta recipe. I’m excited to share it with you!

Now that summer is fast approaching, I like to switch up my cooking so that I can offer my family lighter fare. There is something perfect about citrus based dishes on warm days. A month ago, my cousin gifted me a bag full of beautiful lemons from her backyard tree. With so many lemons on hand, I decided to get creative! My family loves pasta, and my middle child is a huge shrimp fan, so I decided to try and combine the two. Thankfully it worked, and the spontaneous recipe turned out to be quite yummy. I can’t wait to share it with you!

Summer Recipes: Lemon Shrimp Pasta Sauce

(Makes 9 Servings)

  • 2 Fresh Lemons
  • 1 Pound Pasta (I prefer Barilla Angel Hair Pasta)
  • 1 pound rock shrimp (or any shrimp you prefer)
  • Half stick of unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed or diced
  • Season to taste: oregano, basil
  • Top with Parmesan

Step 1: Cook shrimp in frying pan. I use olive oil to grease the pan. Cook thoroughly.

Step 2: While shrimp is cooking, cut the lemons in half and juice them using a citrus juicer.

Step 3: Melt butter in sauce pan.

Step 4: Combine lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, oregano, basil and cooked shrimp in sauce pan with melted butter. Stir to combine ingredients, and simmer over low heat while pasta is cooking.

Step 5: Cook pasta.

Step 6: Drain pasta.

Step 7: Place pasta on dish and top with lemon shrimp sauce.

Step 8: Top with 1-2 teaspoons of Parmesan.

Step 9: Serve and enjoy!

That’s it! This is a really easy pasta dish which is perfect for warm, summer days. It’s a light pasta sauce which is delicious and fresh. Enjoy!

Cool spring summer mornings

cool summer morning outfit how to dress in the fog outfits for foggy daysspring foggy day outfits

wearing: silver door knocker earrings / summer lipstick / white v-neck tee / vintage China necklace (one of a kind, similar here) / blue and white stripe waterfall cardigan / black snake belt / classic cut jeans / Gucci bag / summer nail polish / gold ring / floral print wedge espadrilles /

This time of year we have fog at night, and in the mornings. This means it can be in the 50’s during the morning hours, and then rise up into the 70’s during the day. When we have such large temperature swings, it is important to dress in layers in order to combat the cool morning fog, and be prepared for warm, afternoon spring weather.

Anyone who lives in the Bay Area knows to wear layers! Layers are the easiest way to live with fog which burns off, then rolls back in when you least expect it. I love this waterfall cardigan for foggy days such as these. It is perfect for combating the morning fog, and it is easy to take off when the fog rolls back out towards the Pacific. Since it’s thinner than a sweater or jacket, it can easily fold up and get stuffed into a handbag, or carried around. Love it!

I wore this outfit last week when picking up breakfast pastries at 85 degrees. They have the yummiest pastries which are great for breakfast or lunch. It was really fun grabbing a box-full for my family to share. When paired with warm tea or coffee, 85 Degrees pastries are perfect for a cool foggy morning! Love them!

Best pre-fall 2019 handbags

pre fall 2019 handbags

The best Pre-Fall 2019 handbags from top left: black tote bag (under $400!!) / lady bag with lock (hot new IT bag) / navy shoulder bag (on my wish list!) / reinvented Marcie bag (also on my wish list!) / Christian Louboutin tote bag / brown structured lady bag /

We have not even entered the summer season, and stores are already stocking pre-fall 2019 handbags for us to covet! I always look at the pre-fall season as a glimpse into the upcoming fall season, and what store buyers will likely be stocking their shelves with.

This pre-fall 2019 season, we are seeing medium shades of brown, more structure to handbag silhouettes, less logos (thank you!!), and classic styles; such as the lady bag reinvented.

Chloe seems to be taking inspiration from old IT bags in it’s archives, and creating new styles for the pre-fall 2019 handbag season. I spy a Paddington inspired padlock on the new lady bag pictured above, and the Marcie has been transformed into an east/west lady bag with some randomly placed circle hardware on the top handle-I don’t know why, but I love it-despite the random hardware placement!

Handbags for the pre-fall 2019 season seem to be sleeker, and more timeless, than we have seen in the past few seasons. I love how logos are heading back onto the clasp of the handbag, instead of being splashed all over it. With the exception of Christian Louboutin’s tote bag, somehow that large cursive logo just looks right. Hmmmmmm

I could use a navy bag in my collection, and a medium brown bag would be amazing too. The new Marcie is speaking to me, as well as every lady bag I have placed my eyes on. Someone hide my wallet-stat!
