It has been a fun week! NYFW sent spring 2026 down the runway and we got a sneak peek into what is coming in the new year. It looks like any color goes as we saw bright hues, neutrals and everything in between. In addition, sculptural jewelry is making a comeback and the 1990s are in full swing. Think minimalism in technicolor.

There were also supermodel era polka dots and hats. Let’s see how that translates to the streets in spring! Should be fun! So, in order to prepare, keep investing in timeless styles since logos will remain out, and solid colors will remain hot. You will see more polka dots, but not a lot of prints other than polka dots. Think 1990s minimalism; yes, I repeated myself.

Any-whoo, I also attended a fun event earlier in the week hosted by Broadway San Jose. They offered live jazz, delicious food, vintage vibes and “Some Like It Hot” on the big screen. Check out my recap here.

Some Like It Hot Throwback Party

Broadway San Jose hosted a fun Throwback Party at Pruneyard Cinemas in Campbell to celebrate the upcoming performance of Some Like It Hot! October 21-26 in San Jose. It was so much fun to meet fellow Broadway fans and get a chance to see the original movie starring Marilyn Monroe on the big screen.

The event featured a delicious buffet, live jazz music, signature drinks, and vintage vibes. It was amazing to see the movie on the big screen. I have seen it on TV many times, but never a large screen. I never thought I would see a classic movie in the theater; it was such an amazing opportunity and definitely a bucket list item! Love!

If you haven’t seen the Marilyn Monroe movie, definitely watch it on TV! Also, be sure to snap up tickets for Some Like It Hot, the Broadway show, at Broadway San Jose before they sell out! This is going to be a popular show!!

Heading to a Broadway show and wondering what to wear? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. Here is an outfit idea you can wear to a daytime or evening show during the week, or even an afternoon matinee on the weekend. Love!

Chances are you are coming from the office, or you just want to blend in with all the other guests who are coming from their offices. In any case, an understated, office appropriate look is also perfect for a weekday Broadway show. These classic trousers and this chic sweater are perfect for a Broadway show, the office, and the fall season in general. Love them!

Of course, you will want to complete the look with a classic pair of earrings, understated bracelet set, and chic handbag. For a foundation, these shoes are not only timeless, but they also have arch support. Love that!

When it comes to your fragrances, theaters are considered tight quarters. Go for a common scent such as vanilla and only use one spray. You don’t want to gas out your seat neighbors. This classic vanilla scent is perfect with one spray for a show. I happen to be wearing it right now as I type this!

Broadway shows aren’t avant-garde fashion shows. Guests typically wear understated looks and will often be dressed in their office attire, or in the evening, dinner attire. This rings true on Broadway in New York as well as for traveling Broadway shows throughout the country. Yes, I’ve been to both. The outfit idea featured above is perfect, and both pieces are on my current fall wish list. Love them!
