Welcome to the third BAF Weekly IT List for the fall season! Since it is after labor day, this is a great time to snap up fall cosmetics such as fall nail polish and lipstick. I am featuring a top coat and base coat this week because a proper home manicure is a must! I swear by this base coat and top coat. I have been using this base coat since the 1990s! It is amazing. Of course, this fabulous top coat keeps your manicure from chipping before your nails start to grow and show nail at the bottom. Love them!
These loafers are classic, and fit right into the current fall shoe trends. Stamped croc and classic loafers are all the rage for fall. Love this pair since they are classic, comfortable, and priced under $150. Love!
Destroyed denim is back, and these jeans under $40 offer a skinny look, with girlfriend jean comfort. They are turning into my current go-to jeans. Love!
Hair salons are opening back up! This means we are getting our color touched up and we need to preserve it. This shampoo and conditioner is fabulous for adding moisture and preserving color. I am in love!
I hope you love these fall must-haves as much as I do! Enjoy the weekend, and stay fabulous 😉
I am not packed, and I am not on a plane to New York Fashion Week! Normally at this time, I write a post letting you know I am on a plane, and off to the Big Apple to watch the runway shows during NYFW. This year, things are a little different. New York Fashion Week will be mostly online. While I did receive a handful of in-person invites, the majority of my invites this season are for live streams.
This NYFW season, I will be sitting at my desk, while my husband is on the other side of the wall working from home for his tech job, and my kids are spread out throughout the house doing online school. California is still under a shelter-in-place order, and large gatherings of people are not advised on a national level. This means New York Fashion Week will mostly be online.
An online fashion week is both a blessing and a curse. The reason I attend fashion week in person is because seeing the clothing go down the runway, and watching it move, is how I forecast for the new season. Designers set a tone and vibe for their shows, allowing me to see their inspiration, and complete artistic vision. While they will convey this through video, it is not the same. I hope I can feel the vibe through my computer screen.
Now for the blessing! The nice part of watching fashion week online, is that, you too can watch it! You can watch the same shows as me live streamed. While some designers have invite-only links, there is a good chance those shows will end up on YouTube shortly after they air. So if you cannot attend an invite-only show, you can catch it soon after online. I hope you watch with me!
Don’t forget, Supima is live streaming their show on September 10, 2020 at 3pm eastern time. You can catch it live on their Instagram page or Facebook page.

I am excited to watch the shows from home this season, and see what we can look forward to in the spring/summer 2021 season. I am hopeful it will be a season of joy, renewal, and hope. A renaissance if you will. I believe we will be receiving our vaccines, large gatherings will begin to return, jobs will return, and the hardships we are facing right now will be behind us. It will be interesting to see if this sentiment and hope is reflected in the upcoming collections.
Thanks for stopping by, and stay tuned for my NYFW from home coverage!
XOXO

(apologies for the off-colors in my photos. We have orange skies right now from all the wildfire smoke in California, and my photos had an orange glow. I tried my best to remove the orange. The shoes are not really this dark, they are more of a medium grey.)
This fall, I decided to pull bags I already own, which fit into the current fall handbag trends, and put together a capsule wardrobe; instead of buying a new bag to add to my collection. While there are bags I would like to purchase, I am undecided on which one to actually buy; so I am going to wait until next season to decide. I am eyeing the Bottega Veneta Cassette Bag in black, the Givenchy Antigona Soft in grey, a few bags from Staud, and a few bags on Miirta. It’s hard to pick just one!
The fall handbag trends for 2020 include heavy chain straps, bucket bags, pouch clutches, hard clutches (due to shelter-in-place, I don’t have a place to wear this trend), geometric shape bags, and top handle satchels or totes.
The Givenchy Antigona is celebrating ten years, so it’s a fun bag to wear this year. My Chanel Boy bag takes care of the heavy chain trend, and of course Mansur Gavriel’s bags are always on pointe. I am wearing my Chloe Marcie because it fits the satchel trend, and it is also a fabulous casual bag for everyday use. Sometimes practical can be fabulous too 😉

If you are looking for classic bags with longevity, all of these bags have it! I have owned these bags for several years, and one bag, over a decade! The only new-ish bag is my Mansur Gavriel Cloud Clutch which I have had since late winter. Handbags rarely wear out, so it is always a good idea to invest in a handbag with a timeless vibe; that way you can pull it in and out of your closet. Investment dressing is always the way to go!
Which handbags do you plan to carry this season?
Thanks for stopping by!
