Spring is in full swing! This classic black dress is a fabulous addition to any spring and summer wardrobe. It can be dressed up or down, plus it’s priced under $100. Love that! I wear mine often, and I love how comfortable it is. This dress looks amazing with heels, espadrilles, sandals, and flip slops. Love!

Sneakers are still hot in 2021! These chic white sneakers have been my go-to for the past year, and they are on major sale. I love how comfortable they are, and how you can pair them with a dress, pants; anything! Also, boat-inspired footwear is hot this year and these comfy grey sneakers are perfect for rocking the trend. Plus, they are canvas, which makes them comfortable in hot weather. Love!

Spring make-up is all the rage right now! Loving these nail polish shades, and this fabulous vegan liquid lipstick. It has really good pigmentation, and looks amazing on video conference calls.

Everyone is snapping up an IT bag right now; have you found yours yet? Classic IT bags continue to be hotter than hot, and straw bags are gaining popularity as we move into warmer weather, and beach season. Loving this one under $500!

There is a shade for everyone at ShadeM Beauty. Whatever your skin tone, there are many colors which will work with your coloring. Their color offerings also work with any type of personal style. If your style is California Casual like me, there are toned down hues you will love (like me!), and if you enjoy pushing the style envelope, there are bold hues for you too! I love a brand which offers something for everyone.

My skin tone is medium, and my personal style is on the conservative and casual side. I consider my personal style to be California Casual with a touch of glam. For my medium skin tone, 100% of my ancestors came from Italy, so while my skin isn’t as olive as my Mother’s, it still has a Mediterranean tone. My two favorite hues from ShadeM Beauty are Vivid 8 and Desrose 10. Vivid is a fun pink for going out and Desrose is perfect for all my Zoom calls, and my future in-person businesses events.

Speaking of video conference meetings and calls, ShadeM Beauty offers vivid hues which look great on-screen. If you take a lot of video calls, or enjoy filming videos, these liquid lipsticks look amazing on camera as well as in person.

Finally dressed to go somewhere

Can you believe I had the opportunity to dress up and actually go somewhere?! What???? Yes! After twelve months of everything being shut down, my daughter earned an award and there was an actual ceremony, in-person!! I had to pinch myself to ensure this was real!

The ceremony was held in downtown San Jose and capacity was limited inside the venue. We all wore masks, and doors were open to allow airflow from outside. It was a really safe environment, and we were thrilled to be able to watch her get honored in person.

Now that vaccines are underway, we are starting to move towards more normalcy here in the San Francisco Bay Area. I know we are a little behind the rest of the country, but we are getting there! I am looking forward to more things going back to normal, and to be able to enjoy summer with family and friends once again.

It felt amazing to wear this comfortable black dress. This dress is soft and versatile; perfect to wear to an afternoon awards event! I paired the dress with my new sculpted heel slides for spring, which turned out to be comfortable and easy to walk in from the parking lot to the venue two blocks away.

I loved having the chance to rock my new Cleo bag and stack these beautiful gemstone bracelets made by a local San Jose designer. If you haven’t snapped up a few already, be sure to do so! Bracelet stacks are a huge trend right now and these are not only beautiful, they are affordable. Love that!
