It’s so nice to be getting back to life! A couple of weeks ago, I drove over to Capitola Beach to meet my friend Laura from Have Need Want for brunch on the beach. It was a foggy day, but not cold, so I was able to wear my favorite summer tee and this cute little eyelet skirt I purchased for casual summer days. It was perfect for the fog, and brunch on the beach!

I loved being able to have brunch with Laura. If you follow her blog, you know she is having a baby this summer. So I was thankful to be able to see her before the baby is born. She will soon be very busy! We haven’t seen each other in person since before the pandemic, so we instantly began chatting away! It was so much fun to talk, and catch up on the last year. We enjoyed brunch at Zelda’s on the beach, and walking around town window shopping while chatting. Loved it!

Although we met for brunch, I decided to order a sandwich. It was delicious, and, as always, Zelda’s fries are out of this world. Yummy!

These wedge espadrilles have been my go-to espadrilles for summer looks I want to elevate a little bit for the past few years. They were super comfortable for walking around, as well as standing in place while we chatted. I also own a darker tan pair, as well as a black pair. If you don’t have a pair yet, I highly recommend snapping up at least one pair. They are under $100, and are easy to walk in. I love how soft these wedges are too. They really are perfect for the beach, as well as really hot summer days. Love!

Is it really June already? Where does the time go? Now that the summer season has kicked off, we are all ensuring our summer wardrobes are set! Of course, the calendar summer season will not begin until June 20.

The easiest way to get your wardrobe summer-ready is through nail polish! It’s under $50, and so easy to apply at home. While this sparkling red hue from spring is still wildly popular, these neutral hues inspired by desert sands are gaining momentum and proving to be popular on the streets. Puffy shoes, and slides in general, are hot for summer 2021. This puffy pair of yellow slides features a block heel, and they are soft enough for daily wear, and walking around. Love!

I go through so many tee’s during the summer months! I love this puff sleeve tee priced under $50 for summer. I own it in this coral color, as well as stripes. It is easy to wash, and hang dry. The fabric is soft and super comfortable. I love how the sleeves elevate it from a basic tee, into a fabulous summer top. It’s definitely my favorite tee of the year!

Summer 2021 handbag capsule wardrobe

I am lightening up for the summer 2021 season! For my summer 2021 handbag capsule wardrobe, I am using my basket bag as my carry-all for days when I need to carry a lot of things, as well as for beach days, or when I wear espadrilles. It looks fabulous with espadrilles.

In addition to my beloved basket bag, I am deep into the pouch trend this summer! I started last year with my large black pouch, then I picked up this cute little yellow pouch with a cross body strap for some variety. Then, I broke down and splurged on this dark brown pouch with a chunky chain. All three pouches work with different outfits and serve different style purposes, yet they are all functional and fun to wear. I love a soft pouch!

Of course, no summer 2021 handbag capsule wardrobe would be complete without the 2021 IT bag! My beloved Prada Cleo is a fabulous everyday hobo bag which is just large enough to fit my wallet, phone, keys, mask, hand sanitizer, and keys. It’s also lightweight and easy to wear over my shoulder. Love! You will see me in this bag a lot over the summer season!

As always, my handbag capsule wardrobe contains classic bags which can be worn throughout the year, regardless of seasons; with the exception of the basket bag which is a spring/summer bag. My basket bag is classic, thankfully, so it will be easy to pull out next spring and summer; and for many spring/summer seasons thereafter! Love investment bags!
