It already feels like summer outside! Although I am just posting my summer 2021 capsule wardrobe today, I have already started to wear many of these pieces. The weather has been just right! Plus, I really love this capsule for summer. The neutrals and subtle colors just feel right.

The summer 2021 season is still on the casual side as everyone emerges from quarantine, and into a post-pandemic lifestyle. We are all still craving comfort, while at the same time, we want to dress up! It’s quite the catch-22.

In order to achieve a comfortable, yet on-trend look, I picked up a few tee’s with trendy touches such as ruching, puff sleeves, and texture. These tee’s were all priced under $50, and feel like comfortable t-shirt’s from the back of the closet. Love that!

Soft and comfortable tee’s are perfect for everyday wear. Plus, these tee’s look very fashionable and hot off the runway. They can easily be paired with skirts, shorts, and jeans! I have also found they are easy to dress up or depending on how they are styled. I love a comfortable tee with a skirt and heels. It gives a dressed up look, yet offers the freedom and comfort of a good ‘ol t-shirt. Perfection!

In order to add a little bit of structure to my summer 2021 capsule wardrobe, I added in this beautiful knit sweater. It has a really pretty knit pattern plus wide sleeves. This sweater easily dresses up shorts for a backyard BBQ or looks polished with a skirt for a party or dinner out. It’s the perfect summer knit top! Love!

Most of my jewelry for summer 2021 is from my spring collection with the exception of this cute little butterfly necklace. Butterflies are a huge trend in jewelry for the summer 2021 season, so this affordable necklace, priced under $20, is perfect for rocking the butterfly jewelry trend this season.

Can you believe we are close to halfway through 2021? Where does the time go? Since we are almost at the halfway point, I thought this would be a good time to talk about the hottest selling IT bags of 2021 from January 1, 2021, until May 21, 2021. (Those are the dates evaluated as of writing this post) Knowing what’s hot, helps us plan our IT bag purchases for the summer and fall seasons!

While we can speculate about which bags will be hot before a season begins, we really never have the data to back things up until the season has passed. That being said, knowing what sold well, and what hit the streets, in a recent season, tells us what to expect for the upcoming season.

During the winter and spring seasons of 2021, handbag fans hit the streets with both classic IT bags, and new IT bags. The top selling IT bag of the year, thus far, is a classic! The Chloe Marcie has proved, once again, that casual and classic are what makes an IT bag sell well; and enjoy longevity. After all, the Marcie has been around for years! If you don’t already own one, what are you waiting for? This bag sells the most in the original, double top handle style; but the cross body version is also a hit on the streets, as it comes in at the number four spot. The Givenchy Antigona Soft is proving to be a hit this year! It comes in at number two as a top selling IT bag of 2021 so far. This beautiful bag sells well in all size variations, so if you are looking for a daily bag, or a larger travel tote, this is “IT” for 2021! I can see this bag having longevity. It is practical and beautiful. Love that!

The pouch clutch is a hot street style staple in 2021, and Mansur Gavriel’s Cloud is the perfect mix of affordability and IT bag designer recognition. This beautiful clutch is priced well under $1000; which is rare for an IT bag! It’s also sturdy construction, and can be easily dressed up or down. While Bottega Veneta’s version might end up on more wish lists, Mansur Gavriel’s version ends up in more closets. It’s hot on the streets! It’s worth mentioning the mini version of Mansur Gavriel’s Cloud clutch came in at number six. The mini version offers a strap which can be worn over the shoulder, cross body, or tucked in. Love that!

Lastly, the Loewe Basket Bag has been around for a few years, but it is proving to be a classic summer staple on the streets. This cute little straw tote comes in at just under $500 which makes it an affordable IT bag. It’s a great bag for beach days, summer vacations, or just looking summery on a daily basis. I love it paired with espadrilles!

Everyone is starting to think about summer! Espadrilles are currently the hottest selling footwear right now as we all are starting to think about warmer weather, and summer vacations! I love this classic pair of wedge espadrilles priced nicely under $100, and this classic pair of black espadrilles; also under $100. Love these for summer! They are so comfortable, and make walking on a sandy beach super easy!

Spring nail polish is a still a hot seller, but did you see the summer nail colors? Neutrals are going to be hot this summer! Check out Chanel’s summer collection, and also Dior’s.

Regular tee’s are not where it’s at this summer. This season, we are going to see a lot of elevated tee’s with ruching, ties, and puff sleeves! Here are a few of my favorite’s currently on the market:

I own a couple of the items I pointed out, which are part of the sample sale. Here is the skirt, and the black chain top. These are great pieces to have in your wardrobe. The black top is a lightweight sweatshirt and perfect for foggy days with jeans or shorts. This skirt is really easy to dress up or down. Love them both!
