How many times have you looked for a pair of sneakers, and then not been excited about the available colorways? This has happened to me so many times! Over a decade ago, Nike started letting customers customize sneakers through their website. The original service was known as “Nike ID,” but has since evolved into “Nike by You.”

Every once in awhile I have gone onto Nike’s website and customized sneakers for myself. The last time I did this was in 2017, so it has been awhile! Normally I would customize a pair for either the gym or running. This time around, I wanted a neutral pair to wear as a street sneaker. I decided to customize a pair of Nike Air Zoom sneakers, and I love the result!

The Nike Air Zoom sneakers, which frequently appear on their website, often have a wavy design on the side. It gives off 1970s vides and offers a colorful look. I wanted the arch support and comfort of the Air Zoom, without the retro design and eye-catching colors, so when the Nike by You Air Zoom was offered in two designs, the wavy version and this woven version, I decided to customize the woven version!

The woven Air Zoom has a fresh look to it, and I love how Nike weaves fabric with leather. It has a nice texture and a modern look. I mixed a couple neutral hues and created a sneaker I can wear all year long, with pretty much anything. Love!

So, while you are putting your fall wardrobe together, and having trouble finding the right sneakers, check out Nike by You! There are several types of shoes you can customize, and Nike rotates the styles you can customize. Have fun with it!

Western boots for summer into fall

Wearing: sunglasses / golden hoops / navy puff sleeve tee / bracelets (under $50, local designer) / fall nail polish / moon shaped bag (under $300) / navy and white skirt (under $50) / suede western style boots (so comfy!) /

It might still be summer with summer weather, but I will try my hardest to make fall happen! I couldn’t wait any longer, so I pulled out my new western style boots I picked up last month. They are made from a super soft suede and the block heel hits just in the right place to double as arch support. Love that!

Since it is still summer weather, I paired my boots with this cool, flowing skirt which transcends seasons, and has a classic look. I love a skirt that will work for any season and won’t go out of style after one season! This one comes in tons of color combinations. Since it is so inexpensive, I might pick up a second one, I just cannot decide color! Which colors do you like?

I wore this outfit the other day to have lunch with my mom. The kids have started school, so it was the first time I was able to relax in quite some time. It was fun to head over to Bamboo Sushi and enjoy a few favorite items from their menu. Yum!

If you are local, and haven’t eaten at Bamboo Sushi yet, you have to go! Please order the cauliflower, it is delicious, and you will love it!

BAF Weekly IT List

fall street style trends

BAF Weekly IT List from top left: foundation powder / Chanel fall nail polish / Dior fall nail polish / concealer / chain pouch in chocolate brown / golden hoop earrings (under $100) / casual blue dress (avl in tons of colors, under $50 / faux fur boot / black shoulder bag / denim joggers /

These faux fur boots are trending again! I loved wearing these boots last year when the weather was cool. They have treads on the soles, which is great in icy conditions. I also love that they come in several colors. While black is trending right now, I also own the ivory pair and I love the other colors this boot comes in as well. These are great boots for the cool weather we are looking forward to in a couple of months! Love!

Everyone is shopping for fall right now! This blue dress works well year-round and can easily be worn during the fall season with a scarf and/or jacket. It also looks cute with sneakers, high top sneakers, and casual boots. While the blue dress is trending right now, I love the black version, and I hope to pick up another one in a fall color such as a shade of brown or berry hue. Love it!

These joggers are also trending! They are perfect to wear now and well into the fall season. Since they are a traditional fall color, they work well for the autumn season. I love my pair! If you have seen me wearing them, I am wearing one size too large since I bought them when I wasn’t done losing weight. I just belt them, and they work, but the way they look on the model is what they will look like if you get the right size. The denim is super soft and comfortable, I am addicted! You will love them too if you haven’t already snapped up a pair.

If you aren’t ready for fall clothing and shoes, a handbag is a great way to start building your wardrobe for fall. Look for fall hues, neutrals, and shoulder bags. Love the ones trending this week, pictured above.
