The weather has been so hot! Although it’s September, it is technically still summer. While I crave fall weather and outfits, it just is not feasible when the temperatures are soaring into the 90’s and over the 100’s. This maxi tee shirt dress is perfect for surviving those scorching days and attempting to look a little bit fall. After all, maxi dresses and skirts are hot for fall, and as we watch the NYFW runways for spring 2023, they are really IT for next year! Love that!

This cute little tee shirt dress is well under $50, and it’s very comfortable on a hot day. The navy color, paired with fall nail polish, reflects the autumn season without wearing heavy clothing. I paired this maxi dress with sneakers because I was running errands and doing a ton of walking. This maxi dress would look really cute with sandals or espadrilles. It is a great summer into fall dress.

We stopped at Tacomania for lunch, and it was so good! If you have not tried it yet, Tacomania is new at Valley Fair and offers street tacos, burritos, and a few other plates. I enjoyed the chicken taco plate which comes with rice and beans. It was really good! Yum! I highly recommend stopping in for tacos next time you are Valley Fair! It’s on the second level near the movie theater.

This tee shirt dress can be dressed up a little bit if you are looking for something which is not ultra-casual. You can belt it, add a statement necklace, and add metallic sandals. I chose an ultra-casual look for running errands when it was 109 outside. Ugh!

Spring 2023 color trends from Pantone and NYFW

It is New York Fashion Week, and fashion month season! The spring/summer 2023 collections are starting to grace the runways, and a whole new color palette is coming our way. Love!

Last spring/summer, we enjoyed brighter colors, and playful hues which made it from the runways to the streets. The spring 2023 season is no different. Designers are opting for bright and playful colors in their collection, which will ultimately make it to the streets, and give us a happy, bright future. Love that!

Not into bright hues? That is not a problem! Designers are moving away from dark neutrals and looking for soft grey, soft brown, and few pastels to balance out the bright hues. When spring arrives, you can store your dark neutrals, your black (gasp!), and anything on the darker side in favor of bright colors, and select pastel hues. The spring and summer seasons will be bright, playful, and not-too-serious. Are you ready? I am!

Are you hesitating about the Barbiecore trend? There is a bright pink named “Beetroot Purple” in the spring color palette, so it appears that this cheeky hue will continue into 2023. So don’t be afraid to rock shades of bright pink now and into 2023. This color will stick around for awhile!

Fall shopping is in full swing! This bright pink blazer is popular and so are hobo bags, western style boots, shoulder bags, and pouch bags. Love that!

This bright pink blazer is perfect for fall as it not only fits into the Barbiecore trend, it spices up jeans on a casual day and has a really flattering cut for most body types. If you are short like me, it is short enough to not look like a coat, and if you are tall, it also flatters your figure. Love it!

These joggers are perfect casual pants since they are technically jeans, but they look like nice pants since the denim doesn’t wrinkle easily, they are soft, and yet they still portray a put-together look. Let’s call them “elevated casual” shall we?

If course, if this over 100-degree weather is keeping you from fall shopping, you can always wear a little bit of fall on your nails! Love these rose and neutral hues we are seeing in nail polish for the autumn season.
