Zara Cocoa Sunset edp review

Did you know Zara sells perfume? This was totally new information to me a few weeks ago. I can’t believe I didn’t know; especially since I love shopping there! But, I digress. . . let’s chat about this gourmand fragrance from Zara!

Zara Cocoa Sunset edp is a sweet gourmand which is filled with bakery scents. Zara doesn’t break down which notes are top, middle, and base, but they do list them out for us. The main notes in Cocoa Sunset edp include whipped cream, milk chocolate, passion fruit, vanilla, and peach. When I first sprayed Cocoa Sunset edp, I immediately noticed the whipped cream and vanilla. As for the fruity notes, I did not detect them. This eau de parfum acted like a true gourmand and was sweet, without being too sweet, for the full day.

I am always suspicious of scents which are priced low. Zara Cocoa Sunset edp is priced under $50 for the 100ml bottle. I was surprised at how good the fragrance smelled. It did not smell like a perfume priced under $50. Love that!

Another note: Zara Cocoa Sunset edp is long lasting. One spray was perfect and lasted from 7am until 10pm when I hit the hay. This is good news because I find it annoying when a fragrance doesn’t last. This one lasts! Love!

Cocoa Sunset edp is reminiscent of the gourmand fragrances we enjoyed back in the 1990s. I love that it only needs one spray to last all day. This is a fabulous gourmand fragrance, and I find myself reaching for it often.

Since Zara Cocoa Sunset edp is a warm gourmand, it is perfect in cooler weather. This is the perfect edp to wear now during the fall season, and throughout winter, the holidays and earl spring. It will also make a great gift this holiday season. Love that!

Stay tuned for more fragrance reviews!

Fall is in full swing and the holidays are starting to creep onto store shelves. This holiday season seems to be filled with darker berry hues, metallic sparkles, darker greens, and gourmand fragrances.

When it comes to style, the anonymous handbag is saying put through next year as well as neutral ensembles, timeless pieces, and pops of color. Being trendy is totally off-trend.

I love all the classic vibes, investment dressing and quality over logo pieces and looks right now. I hope this style stays put!

With the holiday season around the corner, stay tuned for my upcoming gift guides as well as continuing fall coverage!

Fall day in the city

wearing: sunglasses / stud earrings / stripe long sleeve tee / holiday nail polish / wide leg jeans (on sale) / caramel handbag / black boots (old, similar here) /

It’s a beautiful fall season! Last weekend we went to the city for the Italian parade. It just so happened, fleet week was happening at the same time. So, in addition to seeing a parade, we got to look up and catch a glimpse at the air show. As you can see in the photo below, the Canadian Snowbirds drew a heart in the sky. It is partially blocked by trees from my angle, but we could still enjoy it.

We started our day with breakfast at Caffe Greco in North Beach, then we headed over to Washington Square to watch the parade and admire the planes in the sky.

The restaurants in North Beach were impacted since it was the Italian Heritage celebration, so we walked down to Chinatown for lunch where it was easy to get a table, and there were normal menu prices. It was a good choice since we enjoyed dim sum at my favorite dim sum restaurant in San Francisco, Peninsula Seafood Restaurant on Jackson. So good!

The weather was perfect for a parade and also for fleet week. No fog! Right? Crazy! This made my wide leg jeans and long sleeve tee perfect for the weather. Love that!

So, if you ever decide to attend the Italian parade, be sure to plan ahead for lunch. I recommend avoiding event pricing and walking to Chinatown. But, if you want to immerse yourself in the event, be prepared to make reservations and watch for event pricing at the North Beach restaurants. Otherwise, the event was really fun! We enjoyed the parade, the car show, and overall vibe with my fellow people of Italian descent. Love!
