Moulin Rouge is coming to Broadway San Jose July 8, 2025. Get excited!

In order to kick off this exciting show coming to Broadway San Jose, they held A Sparkling Soiree to celebrate Moulin Rouge taking the stage in San Jose. Held at Left Bank Santana Row, this French, circus themed event included a signature drink, heavy appetizers, cookies, and fun! It was nice to meet those working on the show as well as fellow theater goers interested in helping to promote the event.

As you know, Moulin Rouge is a famous Broadway show which has won numerous awards and also has an award winning cast and crew. I am really excited to see the show in July!

Broadway San Jose hosts traveling Broadway Shows at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts. This is a cool, mid-century modern venue with comfortable seats, amazing acoustics, and close proximity to plenty of parking and delicious restaurants. Attending a show with Broadway San Jose makes for the perfect night out! I highly recommend it.

So, if you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, or you plan to visit, be sure to catch Moulin Rouge July 8-13, 2025. Or, catch one or more of the other shows coming to San Jose this summer and next season!

The handbag trends for summer 2025 are building on the already important handbag trend which transcends all trends; there is not an IT bag.

That’s right! As we speak, there is no specific IT bag, therefore, when it comes to handbag trends, they center on investment dressing and seasonal taste. Love that!

What’s seasonal taste you ask? So glad you asked! Seasonal taste incorporates handbag styles which fit into warm weather and play well with our beachy, vacation vibes. So, let’s start with the handbag trend which makes an appearance every summer season, straw!

Straw is hot every summer season, as well as natural fibers. Any handbag that is woven with natural fibers, or made from straw, is hot this summer. So, if you have a straw tote from a previous year, pull it out and rock it now! If not, invest in a fabulous straw tote which will be relevant every single year. This beautiful basket tote priced under $1000, or this customizable straw tote priced under $500, will fit the bill. They are staples in designer/brand collections and offer a timeless vibe. They both make great investments which won’t break the bank. Love that!

Neural hues are hot this summer season. Look for shades of mocha, caramel, and black. If it’s a classic color, it’s hot right now; and it’s an investment bag. Love!

The east/west silhouette is still hot. Keep wearing your east/west bags and invest in new ones!

Suede is still the hottest fabrication around. So be sure to wear soft and slouchy suede bags. If you haven’t already invested in one, this is a great handbag to buy this season. You will be able to wear it for seasons to come.

The slouchy bucket bag and the hobo are still hot. Keep wearing your hobos and slouchy buckets, they are hotter than hot for summer 2025 and beyond.

Lastly, the belted tote continues to be the ultimate structured, and slouchy, tote. Your belted tote can be anywhere from stiff, to slouchy and falling down. As long as it’s belted, it’s hotter than hot. The belted tote makes the perfect work tote, beach tote, and anytime tote. Love that!

Also, remember the current handbag golden rule: logos are bad, anonymous is good.
