Every summer there are fun and fabulous straw handbags to elevate our outfits into something which evokes travel, or just adds some texture to our overall look. For summer 2024, instead of the usual tote bags, designers and brands have included at least one straw or canvas handbag to their collections, so right now, natural fiber bags are everywhere!

Straw handbags can be worn on the streets this summer 2024 season. Yup, that’s right! You can rock your natural fiber on the streets of Manhattan, the beaches of Hawaii, and everywhere in between. Love that!

My current straw handbag collection consists of two tote bags, one customizable tote bag with the words “Jet Set” stitched in, and one slightly larger tote from Loewe. I wear them both! Now, I am eyeing a shoulder bag for when I want to be hands free. There are a lot of choices this summer, and I love that fact that there are several fabulous styles priced under $100. That’s incredible!

I also feel like I need that turtle clutch pictured above in my life. Isn’t it cute! Love!

Summer continues to be a great time to invest in beautiful handbags, jewelry and the like. Espadrilles are also hot right now since they can easily go from the street to the beach, and of course, they make any outfit look perfect for summer. Love that!

The annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is coming up in July. This sale is all about stocking up on basics and finding a few key pieces for your wardrobe or beauty cabinet. I found a pair of wide leg pants! Yay! Can I just tell you hard this was to do? When you are on the short side like me, the majority of wide leg pants look huge. Seriously, it was like I was swimming in fabric. I thought I would need to find a pair of petite pants to satisfy my wide leg pant craving, but alas, I couldn’t find wide leg pants in petite which looked wide. Why do brands always pair down styles for petite sizes? Just because we are short, does not mean we want to wear boring clothing which doesn’t give the full look. Ugh, it can be so annoying!

Well, these pants are regular size, not petite. I was surprised they fit me! I do roll the waist for flat shoes, but if I have high wedges, I don’t need to roll the waist, they fit! Love that! So, if you are taller than 5’4″ you can still wear these pants with flatter shoes.

One of the problems with being short, or petite, is that wide leg and loose clothing can look like a sea of fabric on your body. These pants are wide leg without being too much. I cannot believe it! Yay!

In addition to actually fitting me, the fabric is cool enough for a hot summer day, and they won’t break the bank. These pants are currently under $50. Love that! I plan on getting another pair in another color, I am just being indecisive right now. haha
