It’s almost summertime! May is here, and we are continuing to invest in lifelong handbags, jewelry, and shoes. Also, keep stocking up on classic clothing, but add some fun colors to the mix!

Bright hues are hot for summer. Pull out your bright blues, greens, pinks, yellow, orange, and red. Pops of color are “popping” up all over for the summer season. This not the season to dress in monochrome neutrals. Add a pop of color with nail polish, a handbag, or a new top! Love!

Coach Swing Zip review

How cute is the Coach Swing Zip! This small satchel is a reissue of an almost identical version Coach released in the early 2000’s. Do you know what this means? Glove tanned leather! Yes! Of course, it is not the same as the leather from the 1990s, but still, the glove tanned leather from Coach is still nice.

There is currently an east/west satchel trend on the streets right now, so the Coach Swing Zip fits right into that trend making it both classic and trendy, love that! The Swing Zip by Coach offers a zipper closure, an interior zipper pocket, and an interior slip pocket. The two shoulder straps are adjustable, but I don’t see why anyone would adjust them. The straps are perfect for wearing the bag as a shoulder bag.

The Coach Swing Zip is room enough for daily essentials, but it is still on the small side. I can fit my wallet, lipstick, phone, keys, Kleenex, and glasses case inside.

There is still a small amount of room after I fill the bag with my essentials, but not much. I would say it is a step up, interior space-wise, from the Coach Swinger.

The Coach Swing Zip is proving to be a popular reissue. it seems to sell out with a day or two of Coach releasing a batch. If you follow me on LTK you can save this link and the app will alert you when it restocks.

The brooch is back! I am so excited this timeless look is back on the runway and about to return to the streets. The brooch is a beautiful jewelry piece which can be worn on one’s lapel or dress. it instantly dresses up a solid color garment or adds personality to an otherwise conservative look. While wearing a brooch is considered a classic look, they swing in and out of popularity. This year, the brooch was all over the runway, making it very popular and a huge emerging trend. Love that!

You can wear any type of brooch. Some brooches will be fun, such as a bird or fruit, other brooches will be a beautiful, symmetrical or asymmetrical design. You can find brooches with jewels, faux jewels, or in solid metal. The designs are endless.

My favorite brooches are vintage, but I also love costume jewelry versions of the brooch. The classic style shown above can be worn with almost anything and will be easy to wear year after year. The question is, would you perfect the designer version or the more affordable version?
