Shades of green, yellow, blue and pink are hot for spring, and not just on clothing! We are seeing these happy hues on handbags too. Look for the anonymous handbag as we move into spring in neutral hues, black, yellow, pink, blue, and green.

Continue to invest in your wardrobe. Classic clothing which transcends trends is what’s hot now, and well into the future. After all, they are investments, not fleeting trends. Love that!

Classic, duffle-style satchels are hot this year, and chances are, you have one hiding in the back of your closet! Whether you call it a satchel, a small duffle bag, a small weekender, or a doctor bag, this roomy handbag is a great everyday choice for carrying around everything you might need in a day. Love that!

Designers and brands such as Coach, Kate Spade, Tory Burch, Khaite, and more, showed these roomy satchels on their runways for the spring 2024 season. You can choose a structured style such as the Givenchy Antigona, or a softer style from Khaite. The type of fabrication you choose will be both classic and timely for the spring season; just don’t pick the logo fabric, that’s not really “in” right now.

The good thing about this so-called trend, is that it is also a timeless handbag style which you can feel good about investing in for the spring season and beyond. While there are plenty of trendy colors, especially pastels, available for spring 2024, if you are looking for longevity, I would recommend a neutral hue or black. This handbag style will take you well past the spring season and become a staple in your wardrobe for many years. I have had my Givenchy Antigona for close to a decade and I still reach for it often.

Fall 2024 color trends from Pantone at NYFW

New York Fashion Week is underway, and as a result, Pantone has released the color trends we can expect to see for the upcoming fall/winter 2024/25 seasons.

Autumn anyone? The fall 2024 color palette from designers in New York is a classic return to an autumn color palette. We are seeing traditional, earthy hues which blend together and create a peaceful and organic vibe. Love that!

My three favorite colors from the fall 2024 color report are Aventurine, Italian Plum, and Winter Sky. I love shades of blue and green as well as a deep plum thrown in. I don’t really gravitate towards reds or oranges, but they are definitely traditional for the fall season.

I am in love with the neutral hues being shown for the fall 2024 season. Raw Umber, White Swan, and Baritone Blue are fabulous, and I definitely look forward to incorporating those hues into my cooler weather wardrobe.
