Fall is coming! I can see it on the calendar. Now, if only the weather would cooperate and start being fall-like, everything would be as it should.
This fall season, we are still seeing timeless style, as well as classic autumn vibes. I love all the autumn hues, soft suedes, and classic feel of the season. Now, we just need the leaves to turn, and the temperatures to lower.
Nail polish this fall season is mostly pink with a few greens popping in. After all, in fashion, green is the color of the season, so of course it would be on nails too! Love!
Suede is taking over as the fabric of the moment. We are seeing it on more than just shoes and handbags. Suede jackets, coats, skirts, and tops are hotter than hot this fall season. So, watch for it if you love suede!
The fall 2026 season is upon us, which means the hottest handbag trends for fall 2026 are here! That being said, personal style transcends trends, so pick the style which works for your lifestyle, not because it is perceived to be “hot.”
Ok, let’s dive!
The overall vibe for fall 2026 handbags includes the continuation of The Anonymous Handbag. Continue investing in handbags which are high quality and don’t shout who made them. Logos are still quite gauche.
In addition, continue to rock those vintage IT bags, belted totes, and east/west styles. They are still all the rage!
So, when it comes to fall, check your closet for these styles, and invest in what you need, want, and must have in your investment bag collection!
Autumnal Hues: Rich browns, reds, and especially greens are hotter than hot for fall. This fall looks a lot like fall when it comes to color. So indulge!
Suede: Suede is a fall favorite; suede handbags are everywhere! You might have one or two which survived last season, and if not, invest in a new one within a reasonable price range. After all, suede is soft and nice when it is new, but it is easy to stain, and it does not like getting caught in the rain. So, keep the suede bags at a reasonable price so if they get ruined, you won’t care.
Doctor Bags and Bowler Bags: These classic handbag styles are gaining popularity; not that they ever went out of style, but, look for both styles as well as the two fused together. Is it a bowler? Is it a doctor? Eh, who cares! It’s cute!
The Shoulder Bag: Classic shoulder bags are hot but tucked in the armpit like last year. This year’s straps should hit around the bottom of your ribcage. Chances are that you already own one. If you have a classic Chanel flap or 2.55, this simply means wears the strap double. Love that!
Well, there are the notable fall 2026 handbag trends to seek out in our closets, and possible fill in our closets with something new. Love! Which trends matches your personal styles?
One of my favorite side dishes is sauteed mushrooms. They are delicious on a hamburger or on top of pasta. They also play well on top of various meats, tofu, salads, and more. You can’t go wrong with a sautéed mushroom!
When Rachael Ray reached out to offer me a few pans, I was thrilled! Normally when I sauté mushrooms, I use a frying pan, so when I saw she had a ceramic, non-stick sauté pan, I knew I needed it in my life. I was so right! This sauté pan is everyone’s dream. The ceramic, non-stick surface is non-toxic and the food slips and slides around without sticking. It makes cooking so easy! I also love how easy it is to clean up. There wasn’t any scrubbing involved. Love that!
So, I highly recommend investing in this sauté pan by Rachael Ray, you will love it! I am reaching for it almost daily now! Love!
Anyway, back to the recipe! I took these photos when my husband barbequed hamburgers. As I mentioned earlier, I love putting sauteed mushroom on top of my hamburger. Yum!
What you’ll need to make my sauteed mushrooms:
Saute Pan
Wooden Spoon
1 cup sliced mushrooms (double this for more than 4 people)
Paprika
Olive Oil
Black Pepper
Diced Garlic (two cloves)
Now the easy part! Warm up your sauté pan and pour in about 1/4 cup olive oil. Add the mushrooms and coat them in the olive oil by mixing with a wooden spoon. Then, add paprika, black pepper and diced garlic; season to taste. Mix again using the wooden spoon.
Once the mushrooms are coated in the olive oil, paprika, black pepper, and garlic, let them simmer on medium for five minutes with the lid in place on your sauté pan. After five minutes, stir and re-cover. Let it simmer for another three minutes and stir again. Keep checking every couple of minutes until the mushrooms shrink and turn a pretty “mushroom” color. Once they shrink and turn darker, they should be ready to serve!
For my burger shown below, I had provolone cheese topped with French’s onions and my sauteed mushrooms. On the bun I used pesto aioli sauce by Terrapin Ridge Farms. If you are local, you can find this yummy aioli at Lunardi’s. In the mini bowl I have ranch dressing for my French Fries; which aren’t pictured.
If you love mushrooms like me, I hope you enjoy this really easy sauteed mushrooms recipe. They are so easy to make, especially with this amazing sauté pan!
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy some sautéed mushrooms!
XOXO
Cathy
