Well, June Gloom is over! As soon as July hit, temperatures started soaring to heat wave levels. We never really got any in-between weather. Ah!! Thankfully, I have this comfy summer dress I purchased last year, which is classic, machine washable, and perfect for a warm summer day. Love that!

This classic tee-shirt dress has a ruched waist on the right-side of the dress. The fabric is cool and keeps its’ shape after washing. I cannot believe how inexpensive this dress was, and I am on my second summer wearing it! What a great investment! I might pick it up in another color. I currently own it in blue, and black/white stripe. I might add a shade of green or brown to my wardrobe. Love it!

I met up with my friend Dawn from Fashion Should Be Fun for lunch at The Yard House located at Santana Row. Before we headed over to the restaurant, we had to snap a few photos in front of the newest wall at Santana Row. Isn’t the neon sign fun? It created the perfect lighting for taking photos. Santana Row knew what they were doing when they installed this wall! Next time you visit, be sure to snap a few pictures in front of it, it is super fun!

BAF Weekly IT List from top left: blue tee (avl in more colors) / large hoop earrings (under $100) / silver bracelet / Chanel nail polish green, blue / black shoulder bag / green shoulder bag / black belt / candle / espadrilles / basket tote /

The summer is going strong! Everyone is all about beautiful, high-quality handbags and summer essentials such as espadrilles, tees, and outdoor living.

This Citronella candle is both chic and practical. I love that it repels bugs while I am enjoying a meal outside. It also has a sweet scent which makes it a citrus floral. Love that!

These espadrilles are super comfy and have a little bit of a wedge heel. If you have Planter Fasciitis like me, I wear an arch support band with them and I can walk pain-free. Love that! If you have haven’t read it yet, check out my post about relieving Planter Fasciitis pain.

If you are not a Nordstrom cardholder, you might not be aware that the annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is starting next week. You may also hear this sale referred to by its nickname online, which is the NSALE. I will post about it early next week detailing my favorites from the sale. It is a great time to stock up on basics. Save shopping the fall trends for when fall actually hits the stores, this sale is all about workout clothing, pajamas, basics, and essentials. I usually fall for a sweater or two too. haha

Places to eat in Chinatown

wearing: statement earrings / sweater (sold out, similar here) / black handbag / bracelets (local designer) / summer nail polish / black belt / jeans (sold out, also love these) / sneakers /

It is always a fun day in Chinatown with our family. We tend to gravitate towards the same restaurants when we visit, but this time we decided to try a new place, and we are so glad we did!

Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Company

We started our day by visiting the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Company. While an obvious tourist destination, us locals love going there too! They have really yummy chocolate dipped fortune cookies. If you visit the city, be sure to pop in and pick up some cookies!

Far East Cafe

On KTVU Amber Lee filmed a segment where she highlighted her favorite places to go in Chinatown. She mentioned Far East Cafe and how it has been in the city for over one hundred years. How did I not know about this restaurant? So, of course, we had to try it!

Far East Cafe has a large menu and we ordered just enough for the five us to enjoy for lunch. The decor inside the restaurant is traditional and the overall vibe is old school San Francisco. Love that! We will definitely go back in the future!

Another recommendation by Amber Lee was to try the mango cake and mango desserts at AA Bakery. Unfortunately, I forgot to snap pictures, but take my word, it is delicious! We tried mango pudding as well as other breads and pastries which we took home. We will be back there too! The food is delicious and next time we want to pick up a full mango cake. Yum!

Hi Sweetie Tea and Treats

What day is complete without boba? We found the cutest boba place with squishies for sale, and games you can play while enjoying your afternoon boba. Hi Sweetie Tea and Treats was a fun place to pop into for tea and few games. The Creme Brulee boba is my favorite. yum!

Our family also loves the moon cakes at Eastern Bakery. So, we picked up a box to bring home, as well as an order of their sesame balls. Seriously, they have the best sesame balls; and they are huge! I highly recommend enjoying one while they are warm. So yummy!

Locations:

Far East Cafe is located at 631 Grant Ave., San Francisco.

Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory is located at 56 Ross Alley in San Francisco.

AA Bakery is located at 1068 Stockton Street in San Francisco.

Hi Sweetie Tea and Treats is located at 775 Jackson Street in San Francisco.

Eastern Bakery is located at 720 Grant Ave., in San Francisco.

I hope you have a chance to try at least one of these yummy locations!

Thanks for stopping by!
