T-Strap shoes for fall 2012

There are many shoe trends for fall 2012, but the most demure shoe trend for the cool weather season happens to be the t-strap. T-Straps for the fall 2012 season are anything but conservative. Shoe designers have delved into their avant-garde imaginations and created twists on traditional t-straps as well as designs which are anything but understated.

The t-strap shoe for fall offers embellishments, rocker-chic studs, girly crystals, color blocking, metallic trim and more. Plain and solid colored t-strap shoes need not apply for the fall season; their place is in storage.

T-Strap shoes are the focal point of an ensemble for the fall 2012 season and should be paired with neutral or solid colored outfits. The idea this season is not to have the t-strap compete with garments or other accessories; rather, t-strap shoes are statement making pieces in and of themselves. This is fabulous news for shoe lovers who love to assemble their wardrobe around a shoe purchase

T-Straps for fall 2012 are also being shown in new ways. Instead of a classic strip of fabric going down the top of the foot, many designers have opted for curvy shapes, geometric pieces and twisted double straps in order to create the modern t-strap. These are not t-strap shoes which would pass a uniform check. The t-strap shoes we are seeing for fall are fun, light-hearted and pieces of art.

We found a few stand-out, statement making t-strap shoes for fall and assembled them together into the Polyvore set. Happy shopping and stay fabulous

Christian Louboutin meets Silicon Valley

Christian Louboutin has taken some inspiration from our home turf; Silicon Valley. In the San Francisco Bay Area’s Southern Penninsula and South Bay, Silicon Valley is the heart of the tech world. Christian Louboutin happens to be the heart of the designer shoe industry in present time. It is only natural that the top of the shoe game and the top of the high tech game would meet and fuse together.

Christian Louboutin’s new shoe design looks like the inside of a computer. (Christian Louboutin took his inspiration from a computer chip!) This high tech shoe design is perfect for any Silicon Valley Fashionista. Of course, the colors and fabrication make it the perfect way to dress up any California Casual ensemble typically found in a high tech company located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Love that!

What do you think of Christian Louboutin’s new, high tech inspired shoe?

Open toe boots “booties” for fall

Open toe boots or “booties” as they are often referred to, were hot for fall 2011 and they have stayed on trend for the upcoming fall 2012 season. Open toe boots are a sassy alternative to traditional, classic boots and were spotted all over the runways in Paris, Milan, New York and London; and they have also been spotted dominating the streets.

Open toe boots are a great investment for the fall 2012 season as they are versatile and can be worn with almost any cool weather ensemble. Open toe boots are being shown with trousers and tailored dresses for the office, and jeans or sassy dresses for daytime casual. Open toe boots have also been spotted in glitter, sequins, satin and formal fabrications which make them an edgy alternative to a high heel for cocktail attire.

Although most open toe boots have been shown in classic black, brown or tan, there are eye-catching alternatives out there which include bright colors, suede, leopard print, pony hair and canvas. Whether you decide to rock this trend with a traditional hue or go for a trendier, of-the-moment fabrication such as leopard print, the open toe bootie is a great option for fall and will be more versatile than you may think.

We found a few fabulous open toe boots online for the fall 2012 season and assembled them into the photo sets above and below. Hope you love them! Happy shopping and stay fabulous
